A new study by Hemsol, a Swedish-based renewable energy company, has taken a look at sustainability data from countries across Europe to establish which destination is officially the continent’s most green.
The study reveals the top 10 eco-friendly countries in Europe, and Norway takes the crown as the greenest country in Europe. The country has the second-highest renewable energy score on the list, has lots of farmland area and is part of the Paris Agreement dedicated to reaching net-zero carbon emissions between 2045-2055.
The government has also pledged up to three billion Norwegian Krone per year to help save tropical forests around the world. Norway’s capital, Oslo, is also a notably eco-friendly city, with lots of green policies to protect its nature, electricity-powered public transport and a burgeoning restaurant scene focussed on sustainable produce. You can read the full article here at Condé Nast Traveller.
Norwegian winters are both cold, dark and snowy
Well, all I can say as a Norwegian living in Oslo, is that the so-called enviromental friendly electricity-powered public transport does not work in winter. Norwegian winters are both cold, dark and snowy, and that is a fact.
This winter, public transport has stopped completely because electric buses cannot be used under Norwegian winter-conditions – they are not built for that. It is embarrassing, but typical for Norwegian politicians to introduce extremely expensive measures to achieve utopian climate goals. Being a Ursula von der Leyen- pleaser trumps all common sense.
Changing well-functioning systems with so-called “green” replacements that have not been thoroughly researched and not been assessed for impact – and cost billions and do not even work, – is typically Norwegian.
I would also like to mention that the Green Party (MdG) in Oslo, as Oslo is mentioned in the article, has cut down a lot of old, large and beautiful trees with their own environmentally friendly ecosystems, and filled small green lunges in our capital with asphalt and concrete in order to create cycle paths that nobody wants or need.
Electrification of car fleets, trains, buses and boats is not sustainable. Batteries has never been environmentally friendly, neither in extraction that is done by slaves and kids that dies, nor production, nor in operation. And nor when they are broken. The same applies to wind turbines.
The green shift is an illusion based on a climate hoax, and more people are beginning to understand this fact.
Having said that – Norway is a wonderful place and a beautiful, green country that is really worth a visit. It’s just such a shame that we are governed by green, incompetent politicians.
Well, welcome to Norway – and if you make the trip oone day, skip Oslo – instead go to Bergen and Western part of Norway, or head north along the Helgeland coast. Because here you will find the true beauty in Norway.
Live your life through joy, generosity and love – then the world becomes a better place to be for all of us.
