Koster is a lovely small archipelago outside Strømstad in Sweden, just 1.5 hours by car from Oslo. This is a rural and idyllic place without cars, that everyone will enjoy, both young and old, and all those in between.
We packed a tent and four sleeping bags and went impulsively head off to Reservatet camping, which is highly recommended, to enjoy some delicious days and slow living in beautiful scenery.
Take the ferry to Vettnet, grab a trolley and hit for the camp, run barefoot over hot, soft rocks, and check out if you have any luck in fishing, or and rent a kayak if the weather is allowing it. Late evening bath in the warm sea is an unforgettable “must do”:-).
The two pictures below – buy a drink at Galejen restaurant, but avoid the food. It was nothing to smile about – it was just too expensive and tasteless. It is probably more pleasant at Strandkanten restaurant just around the corner:-)
