If you have someone in your life, that gives you resistance, that opens you eyes to the truth about yourself – the kind of truth you prefer not to see because it is too painful – then you are lucky! You see – this is the person you should keep close to your heart.

Here is a quote from Mary Stuart that I found on LinkedIn today: Dear friends, please remember who you allow into your life, mind and heart are among the most important decisions you will ever make. Make sure you’re hanging around the right people, the type that will inspire you to come up higher.
If your heart has been broken by someone who you thought was the one or by someone you trusted as a true friend, never lose faith in love, for in the end, God will lead you to the right person. Whoever is meant to be there will still be there.
Be strong enough to let go and be patient enough to wait for what you deserve. Sometimes beautiful things come into our lives out of no-where. Dear Lord, please remove anybody out of my life that means me no good, serves me no good purpose and is not real and loyal.
……….
I really like this quote from Stuart. As a coach, I have been writing about relationships in my books and on my blog for several years. I believe that people – that only gives you what you want to hear, who feeds your ego with nice and lovely words that only increases your self-esteem – is not good for you in the long run.

It is the kind people who force us to look into the depths within ourselves, which makes us see our mistakes and deficiencies – which is really valuable to us. In spite of their words that can be painful to hear, they will help us develop ourselves to become a better person.
And that is my goal. I wan´t to be a better person, to be wiser, smarter and more loving. So I have chosen my friends wisely. I want people that dares to tell me a word of truth close to me, and they must be able to hear it from me too. And so it is goes with boyfriends too. They must dare to speak out – and to listen.
Words can be painful, but sometimes the pain can lead to something beautiful.
Again; if you have someone in your life that gives you resistance, that opens you eyes to the truth about yourself – the kind of truth you prefer not to see because it is too painful – then you are lucky!
Don`t take it personal, take it as a gift – use your wisdom and grow as a human being.
Well, do you wan´t to join me at YouTube, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter or Facebook, or read about my books or wine courses – please do so:-)
Thank you, and have a beautiful day with a lot of love and laughter. 🙂
