Pen, ung kvinne søker meget rik mann. Jepp, det er jo ikke direkte uvanlig – selv ikke her på berget. Dog, det er ikke lenge siden ekteskapet var et arbeidsfelleskap. I dag holder det for noen å bidra med et pent ytre og tilsvarened en velfyllt lommebok. Og vips – sikkert en god match umiddelbart. Men sannheten er jo at det pene ytre vil falme, og bak den velfyllte lommeboken ligger det vanligvis hardt arbeid.  Jeg syntes temaet er spennende og har skrevet en del om relasjoner menn/kvinner. I dag publiserer jeg derfor et svar fra J.P. Morgan CEO rettet mot en golddigger som søker rik mann. Begge er innlegg som har vanket litt rundt på internett, og noen har sikkert lest dem før – men det passer å ta dem frem nå, fordi det er helg – fordi det er vår, og golddiggerne kommer ut av dvalen med sin nye spraytandrakt og det hele for å lete etter gull på Tjuvholmen og andre steder. Og det finner de nok helt sikkert:-) Vi begynner som vanlig med begynnelsen, kvinnens innlegg: I´m going to be honest of what I´m going to say here. I´m 25 this year. You might say that I´m greedy, but an annual salary of $1M is considered only as middle class in New York. My requirement is not high. Among those I´ve dated, the richest is $250k annual income, and it seems that this is my upper limit. If someone is going to move into high cost residential area on the west of New York City Garden, $250k annual income is not enough. (Please list down the names and addresses of bars, restaurant, gym) 2) Which age group should I target? 3) Why most wives of the riches are only average-looking? I´ve met a few girls who don´t have looks and are not interesting, but they are able to marry rich guys. 4) How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your girlfriend? Guess there are lots of girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please allow me to analyse your situation as a professional investor. My annual income is more than $500k, which meets your requirement, so I hope everyone believes that I´m not wasting time here. From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you. The answer is very simple, so let me explain. Put the details aside, what you´re trying to do is an exchange of “beauty” and “money” : Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for it, fair and square. However, there´s a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but you can´t be prettier year after year. Hence from the viewpoint of economics, I am an appreciation asset, and you are a depreciation asset. It´s not just normal depreciation, but exponential depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much worse 10 years later. By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position, dating with you is also a “trading position”. If the trade value dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for long term – same goes with the marriage that you wanted. It might be cruel to say this, but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with great depreciation value will be sold or “leased”. Anyone with over $500k annual income is not a fool; we would only date you, but will not marry you. I would advice that you forget looking for any clues to marry a rich guy.
