9-Year-Old Kid Who Kept Getting In Trouble For Doodling In Class Gets A Job Decorating A Restaurant With His Drawings

I love this, especially since I drew a lot as a child during school hours – yes, I lived my early days in my own universe, drawing all the time – the teacher did not like that at all. Today I am a writer that convey stories through words, so in some way, I stayed true to my own path. But many of us, unfortunately, are pushed into a direction that really does not suit us, due to the school system and the society.

I think we all would be more happy if we were allowed to follow and explore our own intuition, attributes, interests and talents from the early days. We cannot all be doctors, or work with finance or IT. Just think what would be the result, if we could facilitate children to develop their unique talents instead of turning their spesial features off…

I know, just have a look at these pictures of young Joe in action. This got him in trouble in school, here he is decorating a restaurant. I still don´t understand why the society and the school system have the urge to put everyone in the same template to make a bunch of human copies, while knowing that for many this is the recipe for failure and a unhappy life. One would think we knew a lot more today. Anyway, the talent of this little boy, luckily, has been discovered.

Joe was invited to decorate the dining room of the ‘Number 4’ restaurant in Shrewsbury, England. Now, Joe is known as The Doodle Boy and has his own website, as well as social media pages showing off his awesome art. Scroll down for Bored Panda’s interview with Joe’s dad Gregory!
