Rocker Jon Bon Jovi has made a great career out of filling stadiums with cheering fans, and now he’s using that appeal – and his own financial resources – to help feed the homeless and needy through his JBJ Soul Kitchen restaurants that he runs together with his wife Dorothea Hurley. Now, he opens his third community restaurant to serve food to the hungry and homeless.
What´s not to love? Line Heggelund is quite to the point with her statement on Facebook; – Ditch the fake Kardashians and keep up with the real rockers of the world instead. It’s genuine, generous people like Mr. Jovi the world needs. Not egocentric superconsumers – and I totally agree, no one can argue against that, or what?
Unfortunately, there are too many dark, greedy souls out there that spread fear, hatred and violence. And quite often, such issues get more attention than all the positives that happen to us and all the good things mankind actually is capable of doing.
It is easy to be overwhelmed with hopelessness with all the bad things happing in the world, I often feel that myself – but that is exactly why it is important to share this type of lovely stories – as a counterweight and as a source of inspiration to all of us.
Not to mention to give hope for a better world for all of us.
After all, we are only humans, and we are influenced by our surroundings whether we like it or not. Having that in mind, we have to be aware the fact that we all have both positive and negative qualities inherent in us – but we can choose which one to feed.
You can choose whether you want to use your positive energy and to be like the sun; sharing love, respect, joy and happiness with your surroundings – or you can choose to use your negative energy and with that contribute to a darker and colder society.
So, what is you choice for the day?
And what do you think your choice will mean for yourself and your own life?
That´s right, your actions and the surroundings that you contribute to – will be returned to YOU and your life!
It’s just common sense, and we all want a good life, don’t we? So we might want to focus on our positive energies, those that are lead by warmth, generosity, thoughtfulness and of course love – surrounded with openhearted caring people, and turn our back to negative narrowed people that are lead by the opposite, because it might be quite lonely with these people in the darkness.

Chandni Ganesh writes the following; Jon Bon Jovi is best known for hits like It’s My Life and Livin’ on a Prayer, but he does more than kill it on a stage. Through his foundation JBJ Soul Kitchen, he is currently all set to open his third community restaurant, where those in need of a hot meal can access healthy and nutritious food without being worried about judgment.
The restaurant will be located at the Rutgers University campus in New Jersey. In an interview with CBS News, Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Hurley revealed what their motivation behind JBJ Soul Kitchen was and how they first got involved. While it may not be like performing on stage, there’s a certain sense of fulfillment that comes along with this philanthropy.
“It can obviously never compare to performing or writing songs,” the rockstar stated. “But what it does do is it gives you the same sense of fulfillment, I think, when I leave here at night and you see the lives you touch. I have left here, you know, after a long night of volunteering and said, ‘That makes you feel the same kind of good.’ You know? And that’s what I say, the way to feel good is to do good, you know? Find your good and do it.” Again – what´s not to love? You can read the whole article at Upworthy Lifestyle.
